Lipstick recipe
Melt 9g of either of base no 1 or 2 in a small pyrex beaker (1 minute in the microwave approx.)
Once completely melted simply add 1 heaped teaspoon of any of the impact coloured pigments or micas into the melted wax/oil and stir well.
Immediately pour into a lip balm tube, pot or a lipstick mould (makes 2 to 3 lipsticks in the mould). Place in the fridge for 10 minutes and is available for immediate use.
Lipstick Pencil Recipe
Prepare the pencil by gluing or placing the end cap onto the pencil. (if you have a pencil mould, then this is done after the filling of the pencil)
Melt 9g of base no 2 in a small pyrex beaker (1 minute in the microwave approx.)
Once completely melted simply add 1 heaped teaspoon of any of the impact coloured pigments or micas into the melted wax/oil and stir well.
Immediately syringe or pour into the pencil, hold upright for 1 minute for the wax/ oil to harden then place on its side in the fridge. (if you spill over the edge in the filliing process, don’t panic! It can easily be cleaned up later). The pencil can be sharpened easily the next day. If using a mould, there is no need for sharpening.
100g of the pre-made lipstick base makes between 10 to 20 lipsticks depending on container used.
454g / 1lb of pre-blended lipstick base and 100g of colour pigment of choice makes between 60 to 100 lipsticks.
