Tip: Silk Mica can be added to Sericite Mica and ground together to produce a finishing powder that imparts a slightly ‘dewy’ effect to your finished makeup. Usage rates will depend on how ‘dewy’ you want your finished look to be. Start with 2 parts Sericite Mica to 1 part Silk Mica and if you don’t achieve the look that you want with these amounts then just increase the Silk Mica until the desired lustre is achieved.

Micas are non-toxic occurring naturally from the minerals muscovite and silicate. Mica if smaller than 20 microns, gives a satiny appearance while large micas provide a sparkly effect. Micas are then coated with various oxides, carmine and titanium dioxide to give a full range of colours.
