Clove oil has antiseptic and stimulating properties and is a good mosquito repellent. It has been used as a mouthwash and gargle and is comforting when rubbed onto gums, Traditionally, it has been used to relieve toothache.
The essential, oil has a spicy, stimulating smell and is mildly antiseptic, an uplifting tonic, warming and relaxing.
In aromatherapy, Clove Essential Oil is used as a muscle relaxant and soothing agent.
USES: Massage, baths. A few drops in the bath soothe backache, pains and sprains.
When used in massage dilute well with carrier oil and use only locally.
CAUTION: Clove Essential Oil is a strong skin irritant and must be well diluted before application.
Do not use it during pregnancy.
